VIA GLADSTONE
Heron Island is located right on the Barrier Reef. It is made up of coral and is ideal for nature lovers, researchers and divers. It has been declared a Marine National Park. You walk straight from the resort onto the Reef, which is teeming with marine life. There is an air conditioned presentation room for evening news, movies and sporting events.
The rooms are medium in size. The tiled floors and tropical, bright colours create the perfect holiday atmosphere. The bedrooms and bathrooms are in good condition. Note they are no TVs in the rooms to keep with the natural surroundings of the island.
The restaurant is on the ground floor level, adjoins the pool area and serves breakfast, lunch dinner. The Lounge and Bar caters for light snacks and provides entertainment. A picnic hamper service is available on request.
The lobby is small.
